Boldt Castle Shuttle
10 min. ride – The shuttle allows passengers to go directly to Boldt Castle on Heart Island in the shortest amount of time without any delays.
Once at the castle and after paying your admission, you can spend as much time as you wish on the five-acre island enjoying not only the 129 room castle built by George Boldt for his wife Louise but its out buildings (Hennery, Power House, and Playhouse) and its lovely, landscaped grounds as well.
Upon purchasing your entrance ticket, you will be given an island and castle guide to help you with your walking tour. Be sure to stop in the first floor mini-theater and enjoy the continuously shown Boldt Castle video which highlights the history of the Boldts and describes the castle’s construction, deterioration and rebirth. There are friendly, knowledgeable docents located throughout the castle and in Power House and Play House to answer any of your questions.
Departures from Alexandria Bay are every half hour (on the hour and the half hour) and returns are every half hour at 10 minutes after and 20 minutes to the hour. The trip is quick and easy – just ten minutes each way.
